  • Understanding the academic research organisation
  • Identifying the research operators and the public research institutions
  • Studying the legislative framework and its evolution
  • Discovering the public research policies
  • Understanding the socio-economic weight and missions of Higher Education and Research
  • Placing France in the international landscape

Module 2: UNDERSTANDING THE EVALUATION OF RESEARCH

  • Identifying the reporting agencies
  • Understanding the role and functioning of the HCERES (Haut Conseil de l’évaluation de la recherche et de l’enseignement supérieur)

Module 3: UNDERSTANDING THE FINANCING OF RESEARCH

  • Identifying the agencies of means and their operation (definition and missions)
  • Understanding the role and functioning of the National Agency for Research

Module 4: KNOWING THE CAREERS OF ACADEMIC RESEARCH AND HIGHER EDUCATION AND THEIR RECRUITMENT METHODS

  • Identifying the different possible careers for PhDs in academic research and higher education
  • Understanding the recruitment policies and methods according to the organisations
  • Discussing the profile and project of each participant

Module 5: RECRUITMENT TRAINING IN ACADEMIC RESEARCH

  • Prepare the first two minutes of the audition
  • Present your profile in front of the group
