SAVE THE DATE : The first ceremony in honor of graduates 2017 will take place on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 17h (reception from 16h) at the University Paris-Dauphine

For the first time, the Doctoral College and the Communication Department of PSL are organizing a ceremony for PSL PhDs, shared for all 404 PhD graduates in 2017.

This will bring together PhDs prepared in the following institutions : Ecole Normale Supérieure (92), Mines ParisTech (87), Université Paris-Dauphine (87), Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (71), ESPCI Paris (21), Observatoire de Paris (18), Chimie ParisTech (7), Institut Curie (5), Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (4), Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (3), Collège de France (2), Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique (2), la Fémis (1), Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (1), other institutions (3).

This joint and unique ceremony marks the strong integration of the institutions at PSL. It will also develop the national and international visibility of the PhD PSL.

It is a unifying event that will help strengthen the cohesion between PhDs of all disciplines, as well as a sense of belonging to PSL University.

Program of the graduation ceremony

This event will take place in the presence of many personalities from the academic world, and Mr. Claude Cohen-Tannoudji, Physicist and Nobel Prize in Physics, is the patron of the promotion.

The ceremony will open with a welcome word from Isabelle Huault, President of Paris-Dauphine University, and Alain Fuchs, President of PSL University.

Each PhD will be invited to come on stage by institution and discipline, and musical interludes played by the Orchestre et chœur of PSL will punctuate the event.

We will also have the chance to listen to (or listen again) the performances of our two Laureates, Adam Baïz and Christophe Kusina, who represented the colors of PSL University during the national final of the “My Thesis in 180 seconds” competition on June 13th at Toulouse.

Finally, the event will end with a friendly cocktail, and PhDs will have the opportunity to make souvenir photos (professional photographer, photobooth …).
