The purpose of the Hadamard Doctoral School of Mathematics (EDMH) is to consolidate all doctoral training in mathematics within the area covered by the University of Paris-Saclay. This training ranges from pure mathematics to the most applied mathematics, including mathematics at interfaces (especially with economics, IT, mechanical engineering, physics, engineering, and the life sciences).

The EDMH’s area contains 16 institutions belonging to the University of Paris-Saclay and a co-accredited institution (via Paris Sciences & Lettres COMUE [association of universities and higher education institutions]) – the École Normale Supérieure – with 19 host laboratories, slightly over 300 PhD students, and slightly more than 240 accredited PhD supervisors. The EDMH is extremely open to international recruitment.
